This beautiful object by Berlin-based designer and maker Pat Krupa has made its way home to Manchester.
I absolutely love it.
Raw steel. Concrete. Light. It sits somewhere between a lamp, a sculpture and a tiny industrial monument. There’s something about the huge weight of it that feels like it belongs in one of the old mills around here, while the brutalist influence brings a little piece of Berlin with it.
Pat incorporated the R3N cat mark into the steel, turning it into something physical, architectural and properly special.
Only two were ever made, and I’m incredibly lucky to have one of them sitting here.
Huge thanks to Pat for the craftsmanship, generosity and care that went into making this and getting it here to me.
More photos to follow once I’ve found the perfect space for it.
